About Versova

Versova is an Indian Rock Band, formed sometime in October 2014 in Mumbai at University of Mumbai. They named their band “Versova” because they used to played their music at Versova beach in Mumbai every weekend. The band started in a University of Mumbai Hostel bedroom, resonating with drum loops and guitar riffs. They began by touring the University of Delhi music festival and won many and noted competitions. The band were the “chosen ones” at the Channel LaunchPad in 2015 and were voted as the ‘Best Band’ at MTV Rock Awards in 2015 and 2016. They followed this up at The Indian rock music awards 2017 by winning ‘Best Song’, ‘Best Vocalist’ and ‘Best Drummer’ awards. Their most popular songs are ‘My Purpose’, ‘Enlightened’, ‘Horizon’, ‘Awaken’, Post their debut album ‘Love.Hate.Heroes’ in 2018, the Versova dropped ‘Singles’ in 2018 ‘All About a Heart Break’ and ‘Awarapan’ as well as its video .They started their own festival ‘Versova festival’ in 2017 which happens once a year annually in Mumbai.
